Who are you most excited to see step on the court?

Summer League: Detroit Pistons vs. Cleveland Cavs

In just a few hours, we’ll have our second look at the Pistons Summer League squad when they take off the Cavs in Las Vegas. In Game 1, Ebuka Okorie looked sharp right off the bat and got to all of his spots seemingly at will. He ran the show with a sense of control and dished out four assists along the way as he even picked up his scoring pace as the 2nd half went on.

Ogunna Onyenso, on the other hand, did not make as much of an impact and still looks pretty raw offensively, but perhaps the big man can get going in his second opportunity as a pro. Also, Isaac Jones looked great with 22 points in the last contest, but we already have a pretty good idea of what he can contribute at the NBA level.

Cade Cunningham didn’t hold back after Game 7 loss

While the emotions were still raw after losing so handedly to the Cleveland Cavs at home in Game 7, Pistons point guard Cade Cunningham spoke about his honest reaction to Detroit’s season ending so suddenly:

”That game sucked,” Cunningham said. “Being back home, definitely wanted to get this win in front of fans. It reminded me of last year and losing on the home court. It’s not a great feeling. I hadn’t been thinking about the offseason, so my mind’s been racing now trying to figure out what I’ve got to do, what it’s going to look like. That’s really it.”

J.B, Bickerstaff reflects on Game 7 loss

In the aftermath of the Pistons’ blowout game seven loss to the Cavs, Detroit head coach J.B. Bickerstaff spoke about a range of topics during the post-game press conference. Bickerstaff touched on the Pistons’ effort tonight while also giving credit to the Cavs for their performance in a do-or-die moment, but the emotions of such a tough loss were clearly fresh for the All-Star head coach.

Check out what JB had to say after their second round exit below:

Round 2, Game 4: Pistons Vs. Cavs - May 11, 2026

Heading into tonight’s matchup, the Detroit Pistons are looking to regroup after a 116-109 loss to the Cleveland Cavs in Game 3 pushes the series to 2-1 in the top seed’s favor. During that game, Cade Cunningham put up a triple-double to help the Pistons briefly retake the lead in the 4th quarter, but the Cavs closed out their playoff victory at home.

Round 2, Game 3: Pistons Vs. Cavs - May 9, 2026

The Detroit Pistons headed south to Cleveland today for Game 3 against the Cavs, and they have a golden opportunity to take a decisive 3-0 edge in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. So far, the Pistons have relied on their trademark defensive pressure to hold the Cavs to just 99 points per game so far, but a road victory would go a long way towards advancing to the conference finals.

Detroit defense focusing on denying pocket passes vs. Cavs

During the Pistons' 111-101 win against the Cavs on Tuesday, the Detroit defense made it a point to deny the Cleveland offense from operating as they did during the regular season. In particular, the Pistons have identified the Cavs' tendency to work the ball into the post through pocket passes, so it makes sense that Detroit worked to take away that schematic facet in Game 1.

Round 2, Game 2: Pistons Vs. Cavs - May 7, 2026

When the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavs met for game one on Tuesday night, the Eastern Conference's one seed was able to stay in control for virtually the entire game before their Central Division rivals made a late charge. But despite that brief blip, the Pistons held on for a 111-101 victory, and they're looking to take a swift 2-0 lead in the series tonight with tip-off set for 7 pm.

Round 2, Game 1: Pistons Vs. Cavs - May 5, 2026

The Pistons are back with some playoff basketball in the Motor City tonight as Detroit hosts the Cleveland Cavs for the first installment of their second round matchup. During the regular season, the two Central Division foes fought to an even 2-2 record in the season series, so we should be in store for another competitive battle between the two sides as they both bring some momentum into tonight fresh off Game 7 victories.
