While the news has just broken that the Pisons are offloading Jaden Ivey to the Chicago Bulls before he leaves for free during the offseason, Detroit picked up a couple players that may (or may not) prove to be valuable assets moving forward.

My instant reaction is that while Huerter is historically a volume shooter, his shot looks a little broken this year as his three-point percentage has dropped nearly six points for the Bulls. However, Huerter can slot in at small forward in addition to shooting guard if need be, so he does offer a degree of rotational flexibility for the Pistons.

Saric, on the other hand, has been battling health concerns all year long. If Huerter's shot is broken right now, then Saric's body might be a little broken in its current state. Fortunately, the Pistons do not need a major contribution from Saric right away, so the vet has some time to get fully healthy before breaking into Detroit's rotation.

What are your thoughts on these two acquisitions? The Pistons also picked up a first-round pick swap with the Timberwolves in the deal, but I don't think that's going to be too valuable since both teams are viewed as contenders this season.

I'll continue to post tidbits and clips from Huerter and Saric in this thread moving forward to help provide a better picture of what these two players offer for the Pistons.
