The Houston Rockets are getting ready to take on the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night, so it is time to take a look at the injury report for both sides.
The Houston Rockets are set for a matchup against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night, and there are some key players for Houston as well as Phoenix who will not be able to go, as mentioned in the night before injury report for this game last night.
Getting back to the overall matchup, the Rockets sit at 7-2 while the Suns are 2-5, which shows that these two teams are having different seasons, but it is early on.
Looking at the Suns' most recent game, they are coming off their second win of the season as they beat the Orlando Magic on Thursday, while the Rockets lost their first home game of the season as they fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. All that said, this Saturday night matchup should be interesting, but it is important to note that each team will be without key pieces in the frontcourt.

Why It Matters
Looking at the injury report for both sides, the biggest takeaway is the fact that both sides will be without at least one key piece in the front court, and in particular at the center position with the Suns being without Williams and the Rockets being without Adams and Capela. Based on that, it is worth wondering how much that depth at the center position could play in this game.
For the Rockets, center Alperen Sengun has been solid, but after him, they have been leaning on Oscar Tshiebwe as a true center, and he simply has not been able to make the same impact as Adams or Capela. However, the Rockets have been able to use other players to help out, which has not made this a glaring issue for Houston.
On the Suns side, they have not really had a great force at center as Williams has been out all year. At this point, Phoenix's top two options have been Oso Ighodaro and Khaman Maluach who have been decent, but something for the Suns to be confident in.
With that said, based on the key players who are out at center, it does appear that the Rockets could have a fairly big advantage at the center position with Sengun and if Tshiwbe can just be solid, that could be enough for Houston to win in the front court and utilize the rest of their talent to beat the Suns.
So, as the Rockets and Suns prepare for this game, it will be interesting to see how this battle between the centers does play out, but it does appear that Houston does have the advantage with Sengun which could end up being a key in this game.
