Rockets eye a season sweep against the Suns as playoff implications and personal rivalries fuel this crucial matchup.

On Tuesday, April 7th, the Houston Rockets (49-29) will look to complete a season sweep over the Phoenix Suns (43-35). From playoff implications to personal vendettas, this late night competition has several reasons why it's a very intriguing game.

When: Tuesday, April 7th @ 10:00 PM CT

Where to watch: Local Broadcasting, NBC, Peacock (with subscription)

Houston Rockets Injury Report:

Out: Steven Adams (Left Ankle Surgery Recovery)

Out: Fred VanVleet (Right Knee ACL Repair)

Phoenix Suns Injury Report:

Out: Haywood Highsmith (Right Knee Injury)

The Suns come into this game sitting pretty firmly in seventh place. While there's still a mathematical chance for them to surpass the Timberwolves (who are three full games ahead of Phoenix), it seems pretty unlikely. It'd be nearly impossible for Minnesota to move out of sixth place, as mentioned on Roundtable

While this gives Phoenix no strong motivation to win, don't expect them to just lay down. I'm sure they've heard KD occasionally throwing shots their way, and they certainly want to walk away with one win against him this season.

The Rockets have been pretty dominant in these matchups this season, giving them the opportunity to complete the sweep tonight. Houston won by 22 and 19 points in their first meetings, with Durant making the most recent game more exciting.

His game winner on January 5th puts him over 27 points per game against his former team. I do hope he can have a hot shooting night from deep though, as StatHead show him only going 4/14 so far. Tune in to what should be an exciting final meeting.
