Taking a look at the injury report for the Houston Rockets as they take on the Atlanta Hawks.

The Houston Rockets are set to take on the Atlanta Hawks on the road on October 24th, which should be an interesting game as it is very early in the season and teams are still discovering their identity, and it should be a good road test for Houston.

At this point, the Rockets are sitting at 2-0 to start the year and the Hawks are currently also at 2-0 with both teams coming off solid wins to start their 2026 campaigns.

Last year, the Rockets and the Hawks matched up twice, which resulted in Houston winning both meetings by a solid margin as the Rockets won 104-86 in Atlanta on January 29th and then on March 20th, Houston won at home by a final score of 117-95.

All that to say, the Rockets were the better team last year, but after the offseason it is very possible that the Hawks could respond and defeat Houston in this matchup especially because they are at home and the Rockets have to travel from the West Coast all the way over to Atlanta on a back-to-back.

Now looking at this game, each of these teams will be hoping to improve to 3-0 to continue what has already been a strong start. However a win or a loss tonight is not a major deal as it is very early on in the season and this is an out of conference game. Regardless both sides will want to keep building momentum.

With that said, health in this game, like always, will be interesting to watch, and for both of these teams, there are key injuries to watch, so let's take a look at who could potentially be out for this game on the injury report.

Houston Rockets Injury Report:

Questionable: Reed Sheppard (left knee contusion/bone bruise)

Questionable: Marcus Smart (left forearm strain)

Out: Steven Adams (left ankle injury management)

Out: Fred VanVleet (right knee injury management)

Atlanta Hawks Injury Report:

Questionable: RayJ Dennis (two-way)

Questionable: Keshon Gilbert (two-way)

Questionable: Jalen Wilson (two-way)

Out: Henri Veesaar (right ACL tear)

Out: Mouhamed Gueye (left foot fracture)

Conclusion:

This matchup is occurring early in the season, but even so, both teams will be ready to go because the regular season has just started, and all these players have been for this moment for months.

When it comes to the injuries, as mentioned, the Rockets will be without Adams and VanVleet so they can manage injuries early on, and they could be without Smart and Sheppard depending on how they feel at game time. On the other hand, the Hawks are in a decent spot, as most of their injury report is two-way players, as well as Veesaar and Gueye, who were injured before the year.

With all that said, this should be a solid game and is the first back-to-back for both teams, so it will be worth watching who handles this opportunity better to improve to 3-0, while the other team will fall to 2-1.
