Carlos Boozer, father of Duke's Cameron Boozer, had an interesting NBA comparison for his son, as he eyes the upcoming NBA Draft.

If you're headed to the NBA, there are few former stars who are better to get compared to than San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan.

In his lengthy career spent entirely in San Antonio, Duncan earned two NBA MVP awards, was a perennial All-Star Game staple, and commanded the Spurs to playoff appearances in every one of his seasons, including five NBA Finals wins in those trips.

For Carlos Boozer, father of Duke's Cameron Boozer, he sees similarities between Duncan and his son, as he makes a potential bid at this summer's NBA Draft.

While they aren't exactly the same position nor share the same style on the court, Carlos believes its the intangibles from Duncan that Cameron can model his game after.

Speaking with Andscape, he shared his sentiments. "I'm not comparing Cameron to Tim Duncan...but you know what he did? He won five championships...because of his IQ, because of his skill set, and because his team would follow him."

Duncan, nicknamed "The Big Fundamental," is well-known for doing more with less attention. Sharing an era with fellow legends, such as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O'Neal, only Bryant has arguably achieved more with a single franchise.

Interestingly, Carlos faced off with Duncan during their NBA careers, which highlights his familiarity with his legendary skillset.

With his aforementioned list of accolades that few can claim they share, any prospective NBA player has a long way to go to draw a true comparison to Duncan.

However, learning from his off-the-court characteristics can help turn anyone into a true leader on-the-court. For Cameron Boozer, it is easy to see why his father hopes he can model his future after Duncan.

After their return to the top of the NBA, it is unlikely that the Spurs can bring in Cameron to complete the comparison. But if he takes note of his father's thoughts, he will take the San Antonio spirit wherever he lands in the league.
