San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper will make his first appearance at the National Sports Collectors Convention on Friday, joining eBay Live seller Blez for a basketball break at the show's eBay Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
"I feel like the biggest thing that I want to get out of it is connecting with community, connecting with the fans, and obviously, partnering with Blez and trying to go out there and pull my Chrome Topps rookie card," Harper told Bleacher Report. "I feel like if anyone pulls that, it's gonna be a great day."
The break runs from noon to 1 p.m. CT, according to eBay. The livestream covers every Topps basketball release from October 2025 forward. Any collector who hits one of Harper's rookie cards during the break will be brought on stage.
Harper and his father have been in Chicago together this week, eating at spots Ron Harper Sr. kept from his Bulls years.
The elder Harper has his own slot at the convention. On Saturday he joins Upper Deck president Jason Masherah, former Bulls coach Doug Collins, and YouTube collector Jesser on an eBay Live stream auctioning 10 Michael Jordan collectibles valued between $8,000 and $15,000 apiece. Upper Deck's wider Jordan auction, 23 items in all, runs on eBay from July 30 through August 9.
Ron Harper Sr. won five championships, three alongside Jordan in Chicago and two with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Harper has been interested in sports memorabilia "probably forever," growing up around his father's collection featuring items from Jordan and Magic Johnson.
Harper's card market surged post-postseason, with prices up over 150% in three months, outpacing Jalen Brunson at 110%. Over $2 million worth sold on eBay in May, ranking 16th among athletes. In June, he ranked 10th on Gem Rate's list of top-selling players on the platform at nearly $3.8 million, one spot behind Lionel Messi. It's clear that collectors are getting in early after being impressed by Harper's rookie season, expecting him to become a future star with the Spurs
A 2025 Topps Chrome Next Stop Signature Superfractor sold for $43,201 on February 19, and a PSA 10 one-of-one from 2025 Finest Aura for $58,500 on May 28.
Harper is on the 2026 Topps National Convention checklist as NBA-42, one of 11 rookies, in a 50-card basketball set with 32 veterans and seven legends. Autograph parallels were made. Topps replaced its wrapper redemption with a daily raffle at booth 555. Victor Wembanyama, who signed a Nike shoe deal, is NBA-02 on the same list.
San Antonio drafted Harper second overall in 2025 from Rutgers. In his rookie season, he averaged 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 69 games and made the All-Rookie First Team. In the Finals, he averaged 18.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists off the bench.
The 46th National runs through August 2 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
