The San Antonio Spurs are 15-1 in their last 16 games, with wins over top teams like the Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, and Oklahoma City Thunder during that span.

Of course, the Spurs are built around Victor Wembanyama, although they have a record eight players averaging double-digits and enjoyed 20-point outings from Wembanyama, De'Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, and Keldon Johnson in their recent blowout win over Houston.

The Spurs are very much leaning into the "Spurs Way": if I have a shot, but you have a better shot, I'm going to get you the ball.

Players like Fox, Johnson, and Devin Vassell are being asked to play smaller roles than usual, but the selflessness of the young team is standing out to experts and legends alike.

Spurs Are Already Playing Playoff Basketball

As the Spurs established themselves as one of the best teams in the league, some analysts worried about the sustainability of their play or if their style would translate to postseason success.

It seems that those doubts have been silenced.

"They're going to be a tough out, just for the simple fact of, if you play this way now, you don't have to figure it out in the playoffs," said Vince Carter. "Because, yes, you can always play through Wemby, but you see they're trying to be physical with Wemby. Share the ball, share the ball. You hit 3s. How do you stop this team?"

The Spurs hsot 52.6% from deep against Houston, and have been one of the better shooting teams as of late, overcoming a slow start. Even with Harrison Barnes injured, the Spurs have seven players who can light it up from behind the arc on any given night.

"They have so many guys that can put up these types of numbers and have an impact on a game. It is not even necessarily just all scoring," added Tracy McGrady. "These guys are sharing the basketball, they're getting out, they're filling the lanes, they're filling the gaps on the defensive end. And they're playing together. You can see that these guys love other guys' success on the basketball court. And it is really just permeating throughout this team."

As personalities clash on other rosters around the league, the Spurs offer a sense of cohesiveness that is increasingly rare in the NBA. Of course, as wins pile up, it's easy to make sacrifices, but the selflessness snowballs into even more team success. It's safe to say that the Spurs have found a perfect way to conduct themselves on the court.
