San Antonio Spurs to Have At Least Five All-Star Weekend Participants cover image

Victor Wembanyama has been named an All-Star Game starter, but he won't be the only San Antonio Spurs player at All-Star Weekend.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will be hosted by the Los Angeles Clippers, but the San Antonio Spurs will be the stars of the weekend.

Victor Wembanyama will be an All-Star Game starter for the first time in his career after coming off the bench last season. In the Rising Stars Challenge, Stephon Castle will be joined by Dylan Harper and David Jones-Garcia.

After Castle became the first Spur since 1988 to participate in the Dunk Contest last season, he announced that he wouldn't return to the contest this season. However, rookie Carter Bryant has been invited along with Los Angeles Lakers' center Jaxson Hayes. Both have accepted.

5 Spurs to Headline All-Star Weekend

On Friday, February 13, the Rising Stars tournament will be held at Intuit Dome. Harper and Castle will be on Carmelo Anthony's team alongside Cooper Flagg, Donovan Clingan, Jeremiah Fears, Reed Sheppard, and Collin Murray-Boyles. They are the odds-on favorite to win the tournament. Jones-Garcia, meanwhile, will be on Austin Rivers' team, made up entirely of G League players.

While all eyes will be on Wembanyama and the other All-Stars on February 15, Bryant will hope to bring the house down the night before. Known more for highlight-worthy misses than actual posters, hopefully, he will be able to put on a show.

The NBA has yet to announce lineups for the 3-point shootout or the Skills Challenge. After Wembanyama and Chris Paul made a mockery of the relay-style race last season, fans shouldn't expect the Spurs to be well-represented in the Skills Challenge, although Keldon Johnson is a worthy addition to the 3-point shootout.

Johnson is a frontrunner to win Sixth Man of the Year this season and is shooting a solid 39.5% from 3-point range this season. There is an argument that Wembanyama, who is shooting 37% from deep, should also make an appearance in the 3-point shootout. He would be the tallest participant in league history.

For now, Wembanyama, Castle, Harper, Jones-Garcia, and Bryant are the official Spurs' representatives, but if the Spurs clinch the second-best record in the Western Conference by February 1st, one of the All-Star teams will be coached by Mitch Johnson.

If the Spurs beat the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, Johnson's spot will be clinched.
