The San Antonio Spurs will start their 2026 NBA Summer League at the California Classic, a three-game event at Chase Center in San Francisco, then move to Las Vegas for the main summer league.
San Antonio opens the California Classic against Miami on Friday, July 3, at 7 p.m. CT. The Spurs return two days later to face host Golden State on Sunday, July 5, at 6 p.m. CT, then close out the San Francisco portion of the schedule against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, July 6, at 9 p.m. CT. Broadcast information for all three California Classic games is still to be determined.
The event offers the first look at San Antonio's rookie class, built around size and defensive versatility in the 2026 NBA Draft. Carter Bryant, drafted 14th in 2025, headlines the roster and has started to play during the team's run to the NBA Finals. Last summer, Bryant averaged 7.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks in six Summer League games. Bryant will not play until Las Vegas.
All four of the Spurs' 2026 draft picks are on the roster: Jayden Quaintance, 20th overall from Kentucky, joins UConn's Tarris Reed Jr., acquired via trade with Denver, along with Tennessee's Ja'Kobi Gillespie and Duke's Maliq Brown. However, Quaintance will travel with the Spurs for Summer League, but he will not be participating as he navigates his knee issues. Assistant coach Corliss Williamson will lead the Summer League team.
After the California Classic, San Antonio will travel to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer League held at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. The Spurs will play Atlanta on July 9 at 3:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2, New York on July 11 at 5 p.m. CT on ESPN, Milwaukee on July 12 at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN, and Utah on July 15 at 8:30 p.m. CT on Prime.
Summer League competition offers San Antonio a chance to evaluate the new class, with returnees and free-agent invitees competing for roster spots, two-way deals, and training camp invites.
