Tracy McGrady forecasts a historic clean sweep for the San Antonio phenom, envisioning a dominant season where the versatile superstar captures both MVP and Defensive Player honors.

Victor Wembanyama has already established himself as one of the NBA's brightest stars, but Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady believes the San Antonio Spurs phenom is only scratching the surface.

During the most recent episode of the "Cousins" podcast, McGrady made an incredibly bold forecast, saying Wembanyama will capture both the NBA Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year awards next season.

He also predicted the French superstar would add NBA Cup MVP honors to what could become one of the most dominant individual seasons in league history.

"Victor Wembanyama is going to win Defensive Player of the Year. He's gonna win MVP. He's gonna win the in-season Tournament MVP. He's going to sweep," McGrady said. "For me, I think because he's going to be motivated... I'm going San Antonio Spurs to be right back in that position and to win a championship."

While the prediction is ambitious, Wemby's rapid rise suggests it may not be as far-fetched as it once seemed. After winning Rookie of the Year in his first NBA season, the Spurs centerpiece elevated his game even further by earning Defensive Player of the Year honors while leading San Antonio back into championship contention.

His unique blend of size, shot-blocking, perimeter skill, and offensive versatility has already made him one of basketball's most complete players ever.

Following a deep playoff run that ended in an appearance in the NBA Finals, San Antonio has firmly entered the conversation among the league's elite teams heading into next season.

If the Spurs continue that upward trajectory, Wembanyama will likely find himself at the center of the MVP discussion from opening night. His ability to dominate games on both ends of the floor gives him an advantage few players possess. He impacts every possession defensively while also serving as the focal point of San Antonio's offense, making him one of the NBA's rare two-way superstars.

McGrady's prediction is for Wemby to sweep the awards, and it would put him in elite company. There are only three players to ever win MVP and DPOY in the same season, and they are Giannis Antetokounmpo, Hakeem Olajuwon, and the man who many believe to be the GOAT, Michael Jordan.

Whether Wembanyama ultimately sweeps the league's biggest individual awards remains to be seen. However, expectations surrounding the Spurs franchise have never been higher during his tenure. If San Antonio delivers another championship-caliber season, don't be surprised if Wembanyama's name sits atop the MVP ballot while adding another Defensive Player of the Year trophy to his collection.
