Portland beckons as Spurs face Portland without Wembanyama. Unravel betting lines, injury impacts, and how to catch the pivotal Game 3 action.

The San Antonio Spurs' first-round series against the Trail Blazers will shift to Portland. The two teams split the first two games in San Antonio, with the Spurs dropping the second one after Victor Wembanyama's head injury.

Wembanyama is expected to travel to Portland, although per the NBA's concussion protocol, he is not expected to suit up. Without Wembanyama, the Spurs managed to stay afloat in Game 2 until a fourth-quarter collapse saw them lose a 13-point lead.

Hopefully, without the initial shock of losing their best player, the Spurs can get and keep a lead in Game 3 as the series travels west.

Without Wembanyama, the Spurs don't really have an answer down low for Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams. Sure, Luke Kornet has played some solid minutes in both games, but he's not the game-wrecker that Wembanyama is on either end of the floor.

The Spurs have enjoyed consistent games from Devin Vassell, but De'Aaron Fox faded late in Game 2, looking passive at best and unenthused at worst. It didn't help that Scoot Henderson had the hot hand, keeping Portland in it even as the Spurs made their run.

In addition to Wembanyama, Harrsion Barnes left Game 2 early with a wrist injury. One of the best shooters on the team and a rare player with postseason experience, him going down can't be overlooked.

If the Spurs can split the two games in Portland and then get Wembanyama back, most fans would call the road trip a success, although the Spurs did manage a 2-1record without Wemby against the Blazers in the regular season, so there's no reason to give up.
