The San Antonio Spurs have been cruising, and Victor Wembanyama has been blown away by one teammate who has just tied him for a career record.

The San Antonio Spurs are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning eight in a row on the back of stellar play from Victor Wembanyama and his supporting cast playing out of their minds.

In the Spurs' most recent win, a 127-95 beatdown over the Milwaukee Bucks, Stephon Castle recorded his fourth career triple-double, finishing with an elite 22 points, ten rebounds, ten assists, and only three turnovers.

After recording number four, Castle is now tied with Wembanyama for total career triple-doubles, and the French superstar couldn't be happier that his teammate is starting to rise to the occasion.

Spurs Thrilled to Give Castle His Flowers

De'Aaron Fox may have gotten a last-minute All-Star nod this season, but Castle ius quickly rivaling him for the best player on the roster.

During the current win streak, the second-year guard is averaging 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 9.2 dimes. He's also become a reliable threat from deep, which was his biggest concern before the draft.

Wembanyama thinks Castle is playing with a new level of poise.

"He's so much under control," said Wemby on Saturday. "Ten assists for three turnovers, super solid. I'm not surprised by Steph. I know it's going to happen more and more."

While Wembanyama has been the franchise centerpiece since he arrived in San Antonio, Castle has had to push his way up the ladder, and he's certainly passed Devin Vassell. To his credit, his veteran teammate is just enjoying the team's success.

"There's not one single thing that you can sit and say, you know, Steph is good at, it's just his overall presence on the game," explained Vasell. "Picking up full court, turning people, getting into people's chests, doing that on defense, and to come down and be able to not only score, but to get everybody else involved and see the whole court."

Vassell was on the Spurs throughout the lean years, and he knows that the team is due for some success.

"The league's in trouble," he finished. "We got a lot of young talent that is really good."

As the Spurs chase the top seed in the Western Conference,m copntonued stellar play from Castle on both ends of the floor will be key to them ending the season strong and entering the playoffs with as much momentum as possible.
