This is a profound investment and statement by organization governor Mat Ishbia. The steward of the Suns refuses to side-step in any endeavor - including in supporting what players want to do in off-court philanthropic goals. This extends to second-year players that have a great length of development to go until they are considered a cornerstone piece of the organization.

The Suns already roster a player that represents the organization with the utmost class in five-time All-Star Devin Booker. The 11-year vet is a premier recruiting tool for the organization, as numerous players have spoken out in recent years in regards to their respect and reverence of Booker. Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton even explicitly stated that his desire was to team-up with Booker during the 2020 draft.

Having Booker in tow, being located in an attractive city, and building the reputation of a winning organization are all working in the favor of the Suns.

Ishbia's commitment to supporting players beyond their on-court lives is simply a bonus to what's in place for the Suns. Players knowing that this is very likely to be a continuous effort - even beyond Booker's career - is going to be key in drawing in high-profile players moving forward.

As far as Fleming is concerned in this picture, his commitment to not only improving as a player, but serving others as well, is fully aligned to the vision that Ishbia is cultivating for the Suns. He is exactly the player that the organization is actively seeking out on a yearly basis - high character, driven, and well-rounded as a player.

The Suns are set to reel the 2026-27 season in with a preseason game against the Detroit Pistons on October 5.
