Minnesota's leaked uniforms have fans excited ahead of the June 7 reveal.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been teasing a full rebrand for over a year, so there was something funny about the team spoiling it on its own.

Late Friday night the official website briefly posted the new logos and uniforms before someone noticed and pulled them down.

What got out borrows a lot from the franchise's late 1990s and early 2000s look, the tree-trim era a big chunk of the fanbase grew up watching, only cleaner this time around.

The reveal is still set for June 7 at Target Center, where fans can grab a ticket for a single dollar and see the whole thing in person.

A Familiar Look

The leaked images show three jerseys, a white Association edition, a royal blue Icon, and a black Statement, each one with a "Wolves" script across the chest in a font that calls back to the 1996 set.

There is also a small tree logo on the belt buckle that ties the three designs together, which longtime fans spotted right away.

None of this is new territory for the team so much as a return to it, since the primary uniforms have not changed since 2017, when Nike first took over as the league's outfitter.

The push for it had been building too, with the Prince tribute nights and the classic black tree jerseys selling well enough that a permanent change felt overdue.

Minnesota is also one of three teams refreshing their look next season, joining the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets.

Fans Sound Off

The response came fast, and most of it was glowing.

One fan posting as @woodwardsports wrote that "These are perfect wow," and @sTrade0014 was just as sold with "These are beautiful."

It even crossed enemy lines, with @aligemy90 admitting, "I am a Thunder but I am jealous dawg crazy jerseys."

The praise was not unanimous, though, as @jakepablomedia split the difference by writing, "These are better than what they had but a miss in my opinion."

Why the Timing Fits

It helps that the change lines up with where the franchise sits.

Minnesota finished the regular season at 49-33, upset the Denver Nuggets in the first round, then ran out of gas against the San Antonio Spurs in the second.

Anthony Edwards had the best scoring year of his career at 28.8 points per game and took home All-Star Game MVP, while Julius Randle gave them 21.1 points and 5.0 assists as the second option.

Back-to-back conference finals trips in 2024 and 2025 raised the bar, so the earlier exit this spring has team executives open to real change this summer, and the rebrand is the first real statement of the Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez ownership era.

A fresh identity fits a roster that could look different after the draft and through trade talk that has already linked Minnesota to guards like Ja Morant.

The new threads land before all of that gets sorted out, which is probably the point, since the fanbase has wanted this look back for years.
