Ayesha Curry knows Steph Curry is still capable of great things.

While the Golden State Warriors have been in a transition period and find themselves caught in between eras with a front office that hasn't been willing to change the team around as aggressively as they need to, the biggest question at this point for the team is what the future will look like for star Steph Curry.

Curry is now extension eligible and there's a lot riding on the Warriors' ability to sign Curry to such an extension sooner rather than later and lock up the face of the team for assumedly the rest of his career.

At 38-years-old, Curry can't have that many more years left in him, but his production does't reflect that. Curry was still by far the most valuable and productive player on the Golden State roster last season where he averaged 26.6 points per game while shooting 46.8% from the field and 39.3% from three.

What Does the Future Hold For Curry?

The biggest concern around Curry at this point is his injury history as he only played 43 games last season, the third-least games he's played in a season in his career, with knee injuries being the biggest indication that his age is catching up with him.

But he clearly has some big supporters in his corner still who aren't worried about injuries or age and expect the same old superstar to take the floor next season.

His biggest supporter is clearly his wife Ayesha, who made some loudly supporting statements about her husband in a recent interview.

Ayesha Praises Steph

"This is the hardest working man in the room, okay?" Ayesha Curry said. "No days off, he hasn't stopped since last season ended and so he's ready, he's ready to get out there. I think we're going to be in for some fun surprises over the next couple of years."

The "surprises" that Ayesha spoke about seem to trend toward Curry continuing to perform at an All-Star level for the next few years and she clearly doesn't see bothered or deterred by his injuries or his age.

That kind of support is a natural from a spouse, especially when one is put on the spot in a street interview, but praise does also come easy when your spouse is one of the best players of their generation.

This season will be huge for both Curry and the Warriors. Even if he doesn't sign an extension, he's going to be a free agent next season and if the process makes it that far, it's going to be a much different phase for Curry than anything he's experienced before.

The Warriors also need to make the most of this season that they are in a place where they can build into real contenders again and they'll need Curry at his best.

But Ayesha Curry knows what she knows about her husband and he's willing to stand by him being the best already.
