Brandin Podziemski reflected on the Warriors' team win over the Grizzlies.

The Golden State Warriors needed to pick up a bounce-back win badly against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday evening. After falling to the New Orleans Pelicans in the first half of the back-to-back due to a horrific first half, the Warriors looked determined not to drop two in a row in such a fashion.

Behind an amazing team effort, which included eight players scoring at least 10 points and five players recording at least 4 assists, the Warriors ran the Grizzlies out of the gym, 133-112. The win moved the Warriors to 31-28 on the season and put them back at four games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the 6th-seed.

Brandin Podziemski Reflects On Big Win

After the game, Brandin Podziemski reflected on the Warriors' win and how they were able to dominate the Grizzlies.

"I think we set (the tone) really on the defensive end to start the game. Just set a tone, got some easy ones, and then you look at the third quarter, we really didn't set a tone to start there. So, just trying to start quarters, start halves with a tone set and just play off that."

Contrary to how the Warriors started slowly against the Pelicans just 24 hours earlier, the Warriors really put on a show on Wednesday, especially in the second quarter, outscoring the Grizzlies 40-22 in that frame and never looking back.

Eight Warriors Score In Double-Figures

Nearly the entire Warriors team scored in double figures in the blowout win. Due to the numerous injuries, only nine total players were available for the Warriors, but they all did their part, and then some, as eight of them scored in double figures.

Only one player scored over 20 points, with rookie Will Richard pouring in 21 points, but he was closely followed by Podziemski and Gary Payton II, both scoring 19 points. The only player to not hit the double-digit mark was G-League call-up Malevy Leons, who was getting his first career action in real minutes, considering all of his previous NBA appearances were less than 10 minutes and typically in garbage time.

"Seems like it's been a theme when we've won," Podziemski said of the spread-out scoring. "Against the Grizzlies tonight, against Denver. We all collectively pitch in and it becomes a little bit easier for us."

As a team, the Warriors shot 53% from the field and 41% from three, both magnificent numbers, especially when factoring in the elevated minutes many of them were playing.

The Warriors will get another two days off before they try to keep some of this offensive firepower going in their Saturday night matchup against the Lakers. With Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves coming to town, the Warriors will likely need a complete game, just like this Grizzlies performance, in order to come away with a big win.
