Brandin Podziemski's desired next deal may cause some problems for the Warriors front office.

The Golden State Warriors are not on a tightrope when it comes to their salary cap situation, but they have multiple big contracts on their roster, and they could be in for having to pay one more big contract.

Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski has seen an increase in his role on the team after the season-ending injuries Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody suffered this past season. Golden State will need to find players who can score for them consistently, and they will need to turn to Stephen Curry and Podziemski to carry the load.

This past season, Brandin Podziemski averaged 13.8 points per game, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 rebounds. He has proven to be a durable piece for Golden State as well, playing in all 82 games.

While Podziemski has had his inconsistent moments throughout his career, he has turned into one of the younger players on the team whom others can look to for guidance now that he's had three seasons in the NBA under his belt.

Because of the reliability he's brought throughout his young NBA career. Brandin Podziemski could have a high asking price for his next contract. According to NBA Insider Brett Siegel, Podziemski and his camp want $25 million per year in the next deal he signs.

Is Podziemski Worth the Proposed $25 million?

Considering where the Warriors are in terms of how far they are from the NBA Championship, there is no real need for them to sign any player who is deserving of a big contract.

Brandin Podziemski understands his role moving forward, and he believes his availability is his best trait. As for the Warriors, they will need to keep a player like him around on the roster, but the asking price for the 23-year-old guard may be too demanding.

Not only has Podziemski had his fair share of playing time alongside the likes of Draymond Green and Steph Curry, but he's also played in the expanded role during important games for the Warriors in the past.

Podziemski played a big role in the Warriors' Play-In Tournament run this past season, and he played well enough to help them compete for a spot in the postseason. They came up short, but Podziemski was one of the leaders of a very undermanned Golden State group.

It will be interesting to see if negotiations with both parties drag on over time and lead to Podziemski getting signed elsewhere.
