Jimmy Butler pokes fun at Steph Curry on Instagram.
This offseason, Golden State Warriors guard Jimmy Butler III has been focusing on working his way back to playing shape after tearing his ACL in January.
The Warriors could be without Butler to start the season, which would be a big loss considering they’ll also be without Moses Moody in the early portion of the season as well.
Butler took to Instagram showing off that he’s been working out, and while doing so, he poked some fun at Stephen Curry. Butler posted images of himself working out at a gym, but decided to paste Stephen Curry’s face over his.
Curry’s facial expressions in the photos were screenshots of his face during games as well as from videos that have surfaced on the internet for years.

Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry are both athletes for the shoe company Li-Ning. Butler signed his deal with the company in 2020 after he parted ways with Jordan Brand. Since then, Butler and Li-Ning have released four signature shoes, with his fifth, the JB5, currently rolling out.
Butler even tagged the brand on the last slide of his Instagram post, which could mean this post was used for marketing.

Not having Jimmy Butler on the court at the start of the season will hurt the Golden State Warriors more than most may anticipate. Every team in the NBA is prepared to guard Steph Curry with maximum effort, and having a player like Butler can take the pressure off him.
It hurts even more not having Moses Moody out there either, who is a player who can score efficiently and also defend on the perimeter. Without him, there is a lack of offensive talent on the wing and in the frontcourt.
Brandin Podziemski is projected to start in place of Butler at the shooting guard spot, and while the best part of his play style is his scoring abilities, consistency still remains a question for the fourth-year player.

Porzingis is back with Golden State after re-signing with them this offseason, and not only can he block and defend well on the interior, but he can also shoot the ball better than most big men.
The Warriors will hope Steph Curry's supporting cast will hold up at the start of the season, as Jimmy Butler's absence may find them in some trouble early on.
