Steve Kerr still has very high hopes for the Warriors for the rest of the season.

The All-Star break, arriving in less than a week, signals the home stretch of the NBA's regular season looming on the horizon. With every team having played at least 50 games up to this point, the playoff races are beginning to take shape, and teams are determining which rivals they need to surpass to secure a favorable seeding.

For the Golden State Warriors, some uncertainty still lies in how this team can perform, even with the knowledge that every Western Conference team above them in the standings, outside of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs, are realistically within reach. With all of the injuries and trades that have taken place, will the Warriors have what it takes in their final 30 games of the year to finish the regular season strong and escape the play-in tournament?

Steve Kerr Maintains Faith In Warriors

After the Warriors' emphatic victory over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night, Steve Kerr reiterated his faith in the Warriors and gave a positive outlook on the remainder of the season.

"We still have a good team, a very good team. Even without Jimmy, I feel like we can make a playoff run. The ceiling is absolutely lower — I'm not going to sit here and lie and say as we can be as good as we were with Jimmy — but I believe in these guys, I believe in the chemistry, I believe in the veteran leadership. If we have good health, I think we can make a really good push and be a playoff team, and when you're a playoff team, you never know how it plays out. That's the message."

Kerr also mentioned how grueling the regular season can be at certain points, but repeated his trust in the Warriors' ability to make a playoff push.

"Our goals haven't changed, but we've got to get through the forest right now. We're a little bit in a stretch without Steph, without Jimmy, before the All-Star break, we're trying to find our way, but this is what the season is about. 82 games, you have ups and downs and you just keep fighting and finding your way and then ultimately, see if you can be healthy going into the playoffs like last year and make a run."

Warriors Face Difficult Schedule Ahead Of All-Star Break

Although the coveted eight-day break is nearly upon the Warriors, it won't come before they face a couple of tests.

The Warriors face the Lakers at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday night, and though the Lakers are without Luka Doncic, the Warriors are still without Steph, meaning the gritty team effort that took down the Suns will have to do it again against LeBron James and Austin Reaves.

The Dubs will then have what is, on paper, an easier home game against the Grizzlies, who did just seem to punt this season and their overall playoff hopes by trading Jaren Jackson Jr. for future assets, but the Warriors are nothing if not susceptible to trap games.

Their last game before the break is a daunting one against the Spurs. Though the Warriors did beat them twice in a row earlier this season, the Spurs have emerged as one of the best teams in the NBA this season and pose a real threat at all times.

The break will provide some much-needed rest for the Warriors, but it's going to be challenging to get there first.
