The Warriors suffered multiple midgame injuries and were unable to overcome the Timberwolves.

Things are looking bad for the Golden State Warriors. Jimmy Butler is out for the season with a torn ACL, Steph Curry continues to miss games due to a nagging and frustrating knee issue, and their record is beginning to slip at a catastrophic rate, not to mention the injuries that continue to pile up.

Coming into Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Warriors needed to manufacture some momentum ahead of a six-game road trip that Curry may not even go on. But with the Timberwolves in the hunt for a top-three seed in the Western Conference, they weren't going to hold back any punches on a Warriors team down on its luck.

After 48 minutes, the Warriors had lost their fourth consecutive game. This time, Anthony Edwards dropped an efficient 42 points to defeat the Dubs, 127-117, and give the Timberwolves the season series win, 3-1.

Steve Kerr Acknowledges Plethora Of Injuries

During the game, multiple players were ruled out due to a litany of injuries.

In his postgame press conference, Steve Kerr acknowledged all of these injuries and lamented how much the Warriors' lineup continues to change because of them.

"You just keep trying to shovel guys in and try to find combinations that click. We found a few in the second half, and it gave us a good rhythm to the game. We've got multiple guys on minutes restrictions, too. Seth Cooper handles the rotation stuff, he's got it all on his iPad. As we adjust, he's having to make adjustments to make sure our guys don't go over their minutes restrictions. There's a lot to Rubik's cube right now trying to figure it out."

It's a task that no coach in the league wants to deal with, but Kerr and his staff have to figure it out soon, as the Warriors creep closer to dropping to the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

Warriors Wrecked By Injuries Midgame

The injuries have not been kind to the Warriors over the past few weeks, and it all came to a crescendo during this game.

Draymond Green was ruled out half an hour before tipoff due to his lower back after not appearing on the injury report at all earlier in the day, setting the tone for how this night might play out.

By the end of the first quarter, Al Horford was ruled out, as well, due to right calf tightness. In his first opportunity to start next to Kristaps Porzingis, Horford ended up playing just five minutes.

The fact that it's a calf injury is seriously concerning, too. It's just been reported as tightness, and Kerr said they wouldn't rush Horford back either way, but if it turns out to be a strain of some sort, then Horford would likely be in line to miss some serious time ahead of the postseason.

By the time the second half rolled around, two more players had joined Horford and Green as being ruled out for the rest of the game: Seth Curry and Quinten Post.

Curry officially went down with left adductor soreness after he went to the locker room in the second quarter, holding his hip/groin area. Post also didn't play in the second half after he came up hobbling following a shot contest, and was officially ruled out for a left ankle sprain.

Ultimately, the injuries are making a bad situation even worse. Now, the Warriors won't even have the comfort of being home for the next 11+ days as they embark on a six-game road trip that features the top-three teams in the Eastern Conference.
