Clemson Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney shared a really strange comment on his team's quarterbacks after their scrimmage.

The Clemson Tigers held their first scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday, and while most eyes were on the two-man quarterback competition between Christopher Vizzina and Tait Reynolds, it's important to remember that Clemson has other signal-callers, as well.

Perhaps the most notable "other" quarterback is freshman Brock Bradley, who came along with Reynolds in the Tigers' 2026 recruiting class.

A former three-star recruit, Bradley was the 107th-ranked quarterback in his class and drew Baker Mayfield comparisons from head coach Dabo Swinney early on.

Does he have a chance of winning the starting job this year? No, but he definitely is a name to monitor for the future, so his performance this summer matters.

Well, Bradley did get some snaps in the scrimmage, but Swinney shared a rather strange comment on the six-foot, 190-pound prospect afterward: he said he wasn't sure if Bradley threw a touchdown pass, per The Clemson Insider.

Huh?

Swinney was pretty detailed when it came to everything else, including a pick-six that one of Vizzina or Reynolds tossed (Swinney did not identify which one, but he obviously knew).

But how do you not know if one of your quarterbacks threw a touchdown pass? Was Swinney simply not looking at the time? And even if he wasn't, did no one notify him?

Seems really weird. Yes, it's inconsequential given that Bradley isn't even really on the radar for playing time in 2026, but its still odd.

Bradley hails from Birmingham, Al. and had offers from schools such as Cincinnati, Wake Forest and Texas A&M. He also took an unofficial visit to Alabama.

But ultimately, Bradley settled on Clemson.

The youngster could absolutely have the opportunity to play down the line, particularly if neither Vizzina nor Reynolds work out. And if not? Then he could always transfer.

Clemson's quarterback situation is interesting, to say the least, going into the new season. The Tigers went just 7-6 during Cade Klubnik's final year with the program, so there is understandable trepidation as 2026 approaches.

We'll see who can answer the bell this fall, and if Bradley will ultimately get a shot under center in the somewhat near future.
