Clemson Tigers quarterback Tait Reynolds is somehow remaining cool as a cucumber before facing Miami.

The Clemson Tigers are preparing for their biggest game since their CFP matchup against Texas two seasons ago, as they will host the Miami Hurricanes this Saturday.

Clemson has won three games in a row and is slowly beginning to re-emerge as a threat in the ACC, but Miami has been one of the best teams in the country and boasts the nation's top-ranked offense.

Yes, the game will be in Death Valley, but the Hurricanes still opened as 17.5-point favorites, and the Tigers lost their only other game against a ranked opponent by 41 points versus LSU in the season opener.

So you can understand why just about everyone is expecting Miami to win this matchup, and the fact that Clemson has such an inexperienced, mistake-prone quarterback in freshman Tait Reynolds running the show is also a major factor.

However, Reynolds doesn't seem bothered.

When asked about whether or not he is feeling pressure heading into the showdown with the Hurricanes, Reynolds he actually isn't feeling any pressure at all and that he isn't worried about much of anything just days before the contest.

The former three-star recruit added that his preparation is a big reason why he remains unfazed and that he is simply focused on the task at hand.

Reynolds relieved Christopher Vizzina in Week 2 when Vizzina went down with an elbow injury against Georgia Southern. After Clemson's 22-7 victory, head coach Dabo Swinney officially named Reynolds the starting quarterback moving forward.

While the Arizona native has certainly had his ups and downs since assuming the starting role, Reynolds has definitely shown flashes of brilliance, and it's blatantly obvious that Swinney loves his potential.

It also benefits Reynolds to have a couple of terrific wide receivers in T.J. Moore and Bryant Wesco, although their numbers have suffered quite a bit due to Reynolds' inconsistency early on in the campaign.

Bumps are expected for Reynolds, who missed his entire high-school senior season and was not viewed as an elite prospect going into 2026.

But there's no question the 19-year-old has looked wise beyond his years thus far, and even if he's made some mistakes, he seems unflappable in the face of adversity, which is a fantastic sign for Reynolds.

If Clemson is able to top Miami this Saturday, it will completely change the team's outlook the rest of the way, and if Reynolds puts forth an impressive performance in the process, it might put him on a national radar.
