This Clemson Tigers wide receiver is definitely on transfer watch into the college football season.
The Clemson Tigers have a pretty loaded wide receiver room heading into 2026, with T.J. Moore and Bryant Wesco Jr. leading the way.
Beyond those two, Clemson boasts some impressive depth in the form of Tyler Brown, Tristan Smith and four-star freshmen Naeem Burroughs, Gordon Sellars and Connor Salmin.
Of course, not all of those receivers will earn ample playing time this fall, and it's easy to see who could be the odd man out.
The clear answer is Brown.
A former three-star recruit, Brown arrived at Clemson in 2023 and enjoyed a very impressive freshman campaign, catching 52 passes for 531 yards and four touchdowns.
Injuries then limited Brown to just six games and five catches the following year, and last season, he managed only 22 receptions for 191 yards.
Brown was behind Moore, Wesco and Antonio Williams on the Tigers' depth chart in 2025. Williams is now off to the NFL, but the path to the No. 3 receiver role is not clear, especially with Burroughs seeming likely to earn significant burn.

So, it's easy to see that Brown, who once appeared to be an up-and-coming star at Clemson, is on transfer watch going into the new season.
A redshirt junior, Brown has two years of eligibility remaining, and it's actually surprising that the Greenville, S.C. native didn't try to bolt after 2025.
It certainly speaks to the culture that Dabo Swinney has cultivated, but it also may have been a mistake on the part of Brown, who looked like an NFL prospect early on but has now completely fallen off the map.
The Tigers seem likely to prioritize all of their freshman receivers over Brown, and it's also important to remember that transfer running back Chris Johnson Jr. is a reliable pass-catcher out of the backfield, as well.
Brown could absolutely fall into the abyss this season, and while that would be a shame, it's also the nature of the beast.
If Brown once again becomes an afterthought in Clemson's offense, it would be shocking if he didn't enter the portal after 2026.
