The former Clemson star has been very impressive this season.

The Clemson Tigers have seen better days as a football program, with the team struggling to find its footing this season.

But it wasn't that long ago that Clemson was competing yearly for championships, with the program winning a few. One of the players who led the Tigers to a title this century was former quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is now in the NFL.

Lawrence, who was selected No. 1 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, has been playing very well this season. The former Clemson star has put together multiple strong years with the Jaguars, including this current year.

This past week against the Indianapolis Colts, Lawrence put together another impressive outing, leading his team to a win. Lawrence threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns on 10-of-14 passes.

The veteran did lose a fumble in the game, but Jacksonville had complete control over the Colts, winning 42-7. Lawrence didn't have to do too much to get the win, but he was efficient where he needed to be.

Jacksonville is currently 5-2 on the season, leading the AFC South by three games following this past week. Much of this has been due to the play from Lawrence each week, with the former Clemson quarterback looking like a potential MVP.

After the Week 8 slate of NFL games, analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report put together grades for each quarterback around the league. For Lawrence, he was given a letter grade of "A" for his performance against the Colts.

Lawrence has helped the Jaguars become one of the better teams across the league this year, and the team has its sights set on going after a Super Bowl title. For the year, Lawrence has thrown for 1,690 yards with 17 touchdowns and four interceptions.

If Lawrence is able to keep up his strong play, the Jaguars could very well go after a title this season. Jacksonville has a strong defense and running game to complement Lawrence, setting this team up well.

In addition, Lawrence has built nice chemistry with head coach Liam Coen, with the two putting together strong offensive schemes. Lawrence has looked more poised this season, and his decision-making looks better than ever.

Overall, the former Clemson legend was one of the bright spots around the NFL this past weekend. The Tigers faithful have continued to root for Lawrence in the league, wishing him the best each time out.
