The Duke Blue Devils game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets has been given a new update.
The Duke Blue Devils are currently heading into a bye week following their dominant win over William & Mary.
Duke won the game 62-7, showing full dominance on display out on the field. The Blue Devils are now 4-0 in the new season, with them looking to repeat as champions of the ACC this year.
Next up for the Blue Devils will be a tough test, with them heading on the road to face off against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech is 1-3 on the season, and they will also be coming off a bye week when they take on Duke.
But ahead of the game, the start time for the contest has been announced. Duke and Georgia Tech will kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The game will be broadcast on either the ACC Network or ESPN2 for fans to tune in. Both teams will be looking to make a statement, especially the Blue Devils, who will try to get some revenge for a loss to Georgia Tech last season in Durham.
This year, the entire Duke Devils team has been clicking on all cylinders so far this season, but the offense has been electric. Running back Nate Sheppard has been on another level this year, and his performance has given this group a lot of confidence each week.
For the season, Sheppard has rushed for 644 yards and six touchdowns through the first four games. The entire offense for Duke has been centered around Sheppard, and he will be counted on heavily again when they face off against the Yellow Jackets.
Having a player like Sheppard has allowed for the passing game to open up as well, with the star running back doing a little bit of everything. Duke wants to be a well-rounded offense, and Sheppard has helped this group bloom so far this year.
Head coach Manny Diaz has his players ready to go each week, and it has given the players an opportunity to thrive on the field. Diaz entered this year ready to answer a lot of questions around this program following the ACC championship last season, and so far, he has proven himself well.
There weren't many people who were very high on Duke entering the current season, but this group has been out to prove themselves. The Blue Devils aren't satisfied despite the undefeated start, and they will continue to push forward as far as they can go this year.
