A new 2026 NBA mock draft has Isaiah Evans and Cooper Flagg teaming up in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks.

Former Duke Blue Devils star Cooper Flagg just capped off his rookie season in the NBA by winning the league's Rookie of the Year award. After being taken No. 1 overall in last year's draft, Flagg was as good as advertised.

The Dallas Mavericks now have a building block on the roster in Flagg which is huge after they traded away Luka Doncic. With Flagg here, the Mavericks will look to have a big offseason in terms of roster construction through the draft and free agency.

And they could reunite Flagg with a former teammate.

One thing the Mavericks need is perimeter shooting. They are in a position where they can add talent all over the roster, no matter the position.

Dallas is slated to have two first-round picks this year, including one in the lottery. But for their second first-round pick, they could target a former Duke star.

In his latest mock draft on Bleacher Report, Jonathan Wasserman has Isaiah Evans going 30th as the last pick in the first round. That's where the Mavericks are projected to pick, which would reunite him with Flagg.

The two spent one season together, coming in as part of the 2024 recruiting class for the Blue Devils. They reached the Final Four before losing to Houston. In that one season together, Evans had a reserve role as he started just three of the 36 games and played 13.1 minutes per game.

But last season, Evans saw an uptick in his playing time and delivered.

The guard averaged 15 points per game and shot 43.3 percent from the field. He opted to leave Duke after just two seasons and is now hoping to hear his name be called in the first round this June.

For Evans, he still has the chance to improve his stock with the upcoming NBA Draft combine in Chicago and then workouts with NBA teams. If the two Blue Devils reunite, it could mean good things for the Mavericks' franchise who is looking to take the next step in their rebuild.
