Florida Gators 2027 four-star quarterback commit, Davin Davidson, is beginning to make a name for himself at this year's Elite 11 Finals.
While the Florida Gators and head coach Jon Sumrall are continuing their impressive efforts on the 2027 recruiting trail, one of the program’s top commits in the class is starting to gain national attention this summer.
With the month of June just around the corner, die-hard college football fans were blessed with the Elite 11 Finals this weekend, giving people a first glimpse at some of the best prospects that are set to make a name for themselves at the college level in the near future.
One name that has drawn attention during the highly anticipated event is 2027 Florida commit Davin Davidson, who continues to prove why he is one of the best quarterbacks in the upcoming recruiting cycle.

The talented playmaker is currently the No. 10-ranked quarterback in the 2027 recruiting cycle, as well as a top-15 prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports’ Composite. In his first season as the starter, Davidson threw for 2,360 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while also maintaining a 64.6 completion percentage.
Now, Davidson has the opportunity to improve his ranking this weekend at the Elite 11 Finals and has begun to take full advantage of his time there. Gators fans already know the 6-foot-6, 215 lbs. gunslinger possesses a cannon of an arm, but the college football world was able to see a few glimpses of his arm talent to kick off the first night.
In addition to showing off his arm strength, Davidson’s accuracy throughout night one progressively got better, as he was able to complete a few nice throws within the red zone period.
Looking ahead at the future of the quarterback position, Davidson’s electric combination of being able to play within the pocket, while also having strong athletic ability, will make him a perfect fit for newly-hired offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner.
The former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets playcaller did an excellent job of utilizing quarterback Haynes King’s arm and legs on offense last year, as he created one of the most dynamic offenses in college football. The pairing of Faulkner and Davidson should become an exciting duo upon his arrival in Gainesville.
