For the first time since 2019, the Florida Gators have begun a regular season with a 3-0 record after an incredible 44-39 victory over the Auburn Tigers on Saturday.
Led by newly hired head coach Jon Sumrall, the program has quickly become one of the most underrated teams within the Southeastern Conference. And with the former Tulane Green Wave head coach landing his first conference win in Week Three, all eyes will turn to Florida’s upcoming matchup against the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Florida opens as 1.5-point favorites against Ole Miss in Week Four, with the line currently sitting at -2.5 points.
Will Florida Take Down Ole Miss?

Star running back Jadan Baugh was once again the main catalyst on offense in the Week Three showdown, recording 26 carries for 162 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The prolific offensive weapon had a massive 53-yard touchdown run on 4th and 1 early in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
However, the Gators’ defense must find its footing against the Rebels in Week Four after giving up 373 offensive yards and 39 points against Auburn.
Ole Miss quarterback and current Heisman Trophy favorite Trinidad Chambliss proved a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses on Saturday night against the LSU Tigers, throwing for 363 yards and three total touchdowns. The talented dual-threat quarterback continues to thrive in crunch time, which means Florida’s defense must contain him next week.
Luckily for Sumrall’s squad, the Rebels’ defense is one of the worst in the SEC at defending the run game.
Through the program’s first three games of the 2026 season, Ole Miss allowed an average of 159 rushing yards per game, which ranks dead last in the conference. Offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner has done a remarkable job of maintaining an efficient run game despite the high volume of offense on the ground, and will have to once again establish his offense within the trenches in Week Four.
