The Florida Gators and head coach Jon Sumrall are reportedly making an aggressive push for this SEC commit in the 2027 recruiting class.
The Florida Gators and head coach Jon Sumrall have been on a dominant run this offseason throughout the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Since Sumrall's arrival in Gainesville back in December of 2025, the Gators have risen to the No. 6 class in the 2027 cycle, per 247Sports. However, Florida has shown no signs of slowing down, as the program could be on the brink of flipping a current SEC commit this summer.
According to Florida Gators on SI’s Dylan Olive, Sumrall and the Gators have been “pushing hard” to try and flip 2027 three-star wide receiver and Oklahoma Sooners commit Tra'Von Hall this summer.
“They have been pushing hard,” Hall told Olive in a recent interview. “They have been talking to me almost every day.”

As of this month, the talented playmaker is a top-25 prospect within the state of Alabama, as well as the No. 78-ranked wide receiver in the upcoming class, per 247Sports’ Composite.
While Hall is being recruited as a wide receiver, the 6-foot, 180 lbs. offensive weapon proved to be an electric player with the ball in his hands throughout his junior season at Central Tuscaloosa High School. In 2025, Hall recorded 355 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 25 receptions, while also tallying 519 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
However, despite Sumrall’s late push for Hall, the Alabama native announced his commitment to Oklahoma back in November of 2025. Luckily for the program, the recent strong efforts for Hall have begun to pay off, as he is set to take an official visit to Gainesville this weekend. This will be one of three official visits he is scheduled to take this summer, as he will go to Ole Miss on Jun 5 and Oklahoma on Jun 12.
With 16 commits in Florida’s 2027 class, Hall would become the fourth wide receiver in the group if the Gators are able to flip him from the Sooners. This includes four-star wideout Elias Pearl, who recently announced his commitment to the program earlier this month.
