The Florida Gators (3-5) face the Kentucky Wildcats (3-5) this Saturday in Lexington. Kickoff in Commonwealth Stadium is slated for 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network. Florida lost its first game of the post-Billy Napier Era last week, dropping a 24-20 decision to Georgia. UK ended a four-game losing streak by defeating Auburn 10-3 last week, leading to the firing of Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze.
Here is everything you need to know about the Wildcats ahead of the SEC matchup.
2025 Results: Not far removed from being an upstart program under head coach Mark Stoops, UK has fallen on hard times. The Wildcats have failed to top 14 points in four of their last five SEC games, while the only two teams their defense has held under 30 points in conference play were inept Auburn and Texas offenses.
By The Numbers: The Wildcats are scoring 22.4 points per game (103rd of 136 nationwide), while allowing 26.8 points per game (86th of 136). Kentucky's inability to move the chains has been compounded by turnovers, including eight interceptions. UK is being outgained by opponents by an average of 20.8 yards per game.
Leading Passer: Cutter Boley - 123-for-187, 1,376 yards, 10 touchdowns, seven interceptions
Leading Receiver: Kendrick Law - 30 catches, 351 yards, three touchdowns, 11.7 yards per catch
Leading Rusher: Seth McGowan - 114 rushes, 529 yards, seven touchdowns, 4.6 yards per rush
Leading Tackler: Linebacker Alex Afari, Jr. - 49 tackles, six tackles for loss
Game Analysis: On paper, this should be the perfect matchup for the Gators to find some form under interim head coach Billy Gonzales. UK's struggles on both sides of the ball, paired with the gap in talent, make this a winnable game for UF, if the Gators play their best.
The bigger question is how Florida's players will respond after last week's rivalry loss to UGA.
THE BEST AROUND: Kentucky's Mark Stoops called UF running back Jadan Baugh the best back the Wildcats have faced this year. READ MORE
WILSON OUT FOR SEASON: The Gators have plenty of depth at receiver, but losing star freshman Dallas Wilson to a season-ending injury is a blow. READ MORE
