The Seminoles have an early, intriguing showdown on the diamond against Michigan which sparked enthusiasm from Link Jarrett.

Florida State baseball is off and running with a fast start. Now they'll walk into one of the more loaded tournaments of the season.

One that presents an "Omaha" kind of vibe.

FSU and head coach Link Jarrett will prepare for a stacked lineup at the Amegy Bank College Series set for Friday. And first on deck for the unbeaten Seminoles? The 3-1 Michigan Wolverines.

Jarrett spoke with media members over Zoom about this upcoming tournament featuring national powers and ranked teams like the 'Noles. He immediately feels a College World Series kind of atmosphere for this tourney.

"Excited to be here, this is quite the tournament," Jarrett said Thursday morning, "Clearly, you can see the level of competition, and I feel like this has the bracket in Omaha type feel."

Who else represents the bracket outside of the Wolverines?

No. 9 Auburn is here too at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Tex. Nebraska is also awaiting the Seminoles. Kansas State is one more representative.

Though FSU won't be alone on the Atlantic Coast Conference front in Texas. Louisville will also be in the building during the first weekend of the series.

FSU rolled to two impressive romps of James Madison to start the season. Then took down Jacksonville University 13-3. Already the Noles have surpassed the five-run mark in all three of their wins.

Yet that doesn't mean that FSU already looks like a complete baseball team in the eyes of Jarrett.

"This experience early, as I continue to learn about our team, provides countless ways I'll evaluate and learn," Jarrett said.

There's even been an adjustment period as Jarrett helped described.

"Staff and players and all aspects of the program have to adjust and go on the fly here a little bit when you're not at home, and it's a tournament setting," Jarrett said.

Here's the complete schedule of games involving the Seminoles:

Friday: Michigan vs. Florida State, 12 p.m. ET.

Saturday: Auburn vs. Florida State, 4 p.m. ET.

Sunday: Nebraska vs. Florida State, 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Tiger out of the Southeastern Conference are the highest ranked team for the weekend and the lone top 10 one. Louisville currently ranks higher than FSU at No. 15 overall. Everyone else in the field are currently unranked.
