Ashton Daniels ignited a 38-point scoring blitz with five record-tying touchdowns while André Otto dominated the trenches, revitalizing the Seminoles’ season ahead of two critical road tests.

Florida State quarterback Ashton Daniels and left guard André Otto were announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference as Players of the Week on Monday.

Daniels is the fifth Florida State athlete to earn Quarterback of the Week honors since the award was instituted in 2018. He previously earned it in 2024 when he played for Stanford. He is the first Seminole to earn the honor since ACC Player of the Year Jordan Travis won it three times in 2023.

Daniels threw for 183 yards, rushed for 136 yards and scored a school-record five touchdowns to lead the Seminoles to a crucial 38-7 win over Virginia on Oct. 3 in Tallahassee. He became the first player since at least 1995 to have such a game.

A fifth year senior from Buford, Georgia, Daniels tied the Florida State record for points in a game with 30. Daniels was also named as a member of the Davey O'Brien Great 8 after setting tying the ACC record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.

Daniels has the third most rushing touchdowns in the nation this season with nine. He is one more running score from setting a new Florida State single season record for a quarterback. Daniels also has the ninth most passing yards per completion with 15.89.

Otto earned his first ACC Player of the Week honor after leading the Florida State offensive line that protected and paved a path for the Seminole ground game.
