The Seminoles bring back a Tallahassee talent here too with Anthony Robinson II.
Florida State basketball now has pulled in two transfers in less than 24 hours.
This time Tallahassee native Anthony Robinson II joins Kameron Taylor as the new additions.
The former made his commitment to FSU official on Thursday morning, shutting down his portal recruiting period in the process.
Head coach Luke Loucks immediately prioritized landing Robinson once he left the Missouri Tigers. Robinson once was recruited by Florida State, but that was through the previous coaching regime spearheaded by Leonard Hamilton.
Loucks adds someone with extensive playing experience, and one who starred in the rugged Southeastern Conference.
Robinson made 19 starts in 33 appearances. He leaves Mizzou having averaged 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and three assists a night. He went on to shoot 41 percent from the field and hit 31.4 percent from 3-point land.
He led Mizzou in assists on nine occasions throughout the season, recording nearly five in 10 different contests. He also led the Tigers with 1.64 steals per game. That includes recording at least three steals in seven games, including a season-best five against his future Atlantic Coast Conference foe Notre Dame.
Loucks adds a valuable defender here, as Robinson landed on the All-SEC Defensive Team as a sophomore, becoming the only underclassman to hold that distinction for the 2024-25 season. He managed to start in 31 games out in 33 appearances.
Robinson went on to average nine points and 3.5 assists per game. He shot 48.3 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range -- all while increasing his shooting marks by 11.6 percent and by 19.5 percent from beyond the arc from his freshman season.
Robinson placed 12th in the SEC in assists per game and seventh with a 2.04 assist-to-turnover ratio. He led Mizzou in assists on 16 occasions, recording at least 10 points and five assists eight times during the campaign. He played in 30 total games as a true freshman signing with Missouri.
Once again this is a homecoming for Robinson, having starred at Florida State University High School and guiding a state 3A championship run.
Robinson also joins younger brother Amare Robinson at FSU. The younger Robinson starred for Tallahassee State College and averaged 12.2 points per game there. Amare Robinson starred for FSU High as well, earning the defensive player of the year award three times.
Both brothers arrive after UNC Asheville standout Taylor joined the Noles on Wednesday night.
