The Seminoles have addressed Conor McAneney's off the field incident.
Florida State football officially acted on placekicker Conor McAneney's arrest Thursday night.
The school and football program officially suspended the college football transfer portal specialist.
Noles247 reported that the suspension is an indefinite one. Meaning McAneney will no longer become a part of the spring practice festivities. That includes the upcoming Legacy Weekend set for late March.
"According to the incident report obtained by Noles247, McAneney was being removed by security from Rock Bar, located at 225 S Ft Lauderdale Beach Blvd," the report reads off.
McAneney later became combative per the next details.
"The report states that he refused to leave the bar before the patrol officer intervened," Noles247 added. "Per the report, he allegedly further resisted being removed from the bar, grabbing onto the barriers of the business."
The law enforcement representative then acted accordingly.
"The officer wrote in the report that he pulled him away from the barriers before McAneney grabbed the officer's arm/shirt in an attempt to pull him down -- which led the officer to almost fall through the barrier and into oncoming traffic," the report further states.
That's when a physical altercation broke out.
"The officer then punched him twice in the face, bringing McAneney to the ground, where he continued to resist arrest," the report continued. "McAneney received medical attention. The report notes that he was removed from multiple bars during the evening."
McAneney suffered a swollen and busted lower lip in the scuffle. His bond first got set for $0.00. FSU at the time didn't provide a statement on the matter. But now the Seminoles will operate without the transfer for the rest of spring practice and beyond.
McAneney arrived as a rare NCAA Division II addition via the portal. McAneney went on to hit 7-of-10 of his field goals while playing for Quincy University in Illinois, with his longest a 45-yarder.
He eventually went on to earn the Great Lakes Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Week in the win over William Jewell University.
Florida State went through three spring practices before taking the rest period for spring break. FSU resumes sessions for football the following week.
It's not known if head coach Mike Norvell will search for a placekicker in the portal or via the junior college ranks.
