The young freshman is aiming to take the next step with the Seminoles and is leaning heavy into Quintrevion "Tre" Wisner.

Ousmane Kromah knows landing starting running back duties won't be easy at Florida State this fall. Not with Quintrevion "Tre" Wisner in the room.

Wisner brings versatility and College Football Playoff experience in tow to Tallahassee. The former Texas running back brings needed experience into the backfield...which could limit Kromah to take the next step.

Except the 2025 signing doesn't see it that way. He believes he is taking that next step...by learning and absorbing from Wisner on the spring football practice field.

"Boy, he's been helping me. I'm going to be honest, I'm still younger and he's been in this, so he's helping me see certain things that I didn't see," Kromah said to Noles247.

Kromah detailed the impact Wisner has so far on him, painting the picture that he's like an assistant running back coach to him.

"For instance, he's helping me learn on power, certain things— 'if a linebacker goes in, go out' —certain things that he was taught at certain schools and certain things that he didn't learn growing up that I didn't necessarily have the luxury of learning," Kromah said.

Having a past College Football Playoff performer has helped Kromah drastically.

"He's helping me go through it and apply it to practice," Kromah said. "So that's my dog. I love him."

Wisner isn't the only one guiding Kromah to take the next step.

His running back coach Kam Martin is brand new as well in coming over via Tulsa. Martin, though, sees a diligent worker in his conversation with Brennan Sonnone of 247Sports.

"He's taking that next step. He's taking that next step as a person and as a player," Martin said to Noles247.

Both are also up before the sun rises.

"Every morning, me and him have been watching film at 5:30 in the morning, and I can tell you this: He's taking that next step to be the guy he wants to be. He wants to be great," Martin said. "Every rep that he takes, if he messes up, he owns it and he wants to be the best. I meet with him twice a day, and he's trying to take that next step. I'm excited to get to work with him."

Kromah can add some needed depth and power to a room that will now feature the do-everything back Wisner.
