Former Texas RB Quintrevion Wisner is now on board with the Seminoles, with one insider helping reveal how his visit went.

Florida State received a happy visitor who played in the College Football Playoff around this time one year ago.

Now the Seminoles are the ones grinning ear-to-ear -- officially locking Quintrevion Wisner.

The Texas running back made his decision to join FSU Monday, per multiple reports. His agency, Athletes in Control Sports (AiC.Sports) helped seal his decision to head to Tallahassee.

Wisner arrived all smiles in these snapshots via Chris Nee of 247Sports.

Wisner landed on the Florida State radar during the weekend of Jan. 3. He was one of three reported RB targets Mike Norvell and his FSU coaching staff targeted in the portal.

Hollywood Smothers, who starred for North Carolina State, was expected to visit FSU. Group of 5 RB Zylan Perry from Louisiana was another on the FSU radar among portal targets.

Wisner's Tallahassee arrival sparked multiple reactions of praise.

"Wisner was considered one of the top RBs in the portal, and now lands in Tallahassee," 92.5 FM in Jacksonville posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.

Even a Florida State booster welcomed in Wisner with open arms.

Meanwhile, Brendan Sonnone broke down the move on 247Sports' Florida State website. He cited how the now former Longhorns back is a "dependable, patient" RB.

"He wins with that vision being married to a nifty hop step that he uses to redirect gaps and gradually climb to the second level," Sonnone added in his scouting report. "Wisner feels as if he's constantly setting up runs, manipulating angles and reacting to things before they even happen. This makes it difficult to zero in on him in traffic. It's hard to get a clean hit on him."

Wisner isn't considered the most powerful of backs, even though he's a finisher after contact. He also adds a needed versatile element to FSU with his receiver background. He's best known for catching 44 passes from both Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning during the 2024 CFP run in Austin.

But does Sonnone believe Wisner will be a strong fit inside Doak S. Campbell Stadium and outside of FSU?

"I think a steady, dependable runner, who you know can be effective with a high volume of carries, is what FSU was looking for this cycle," Sonnone said. "Wisner is a good back. He lacks dynamic movements and optimal bulk to steadily power his way to success, but the vision and subtle twitch make him an effective runner. Factor in durability, and there's RB1 upside here to lead FSU's rushing attack in 2026."

He joins cornerback Nehemiah Chandler, a transfer from South Alabama, as the new arrivals via the portal for the Noles.
