The list of Florida State transfer portal targets exploded the moment the window opened. That now includes a past Arch Manning weapon emerging on the Seminoles' radar.
Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner is linked to FSU -- and he's visiting the campus Sunday according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports on Saturday afternoon.
Wisner rose as a major playmaker for Manning but also past Texas QB Quinn Ewers. He piled 1,064 yards his junior season and scored five rushing touchdowns in 2024 -- during the Longhorns' College Football Playoff run.
He endured a down 2025, though, amid a nagging hamstring injury. Wisner got stung by the injury in September, then reaggravated it following a touchdown score against Florida.
Wisner settled for just 597 rushing yards and three touchdowns with Manning as the QB1. However, Wisner shredded one 2025 College Football Playoff team.
The native of Glenn Heights, Tex., piled 155 yards on 19 carries against rival Texas A&M during Thanksgiving weekend. The same Aggies team that made the 12-team postseason with an 11-1 regular season record. But the 'Horns and Wisner handed Texas A&M its first regular season loss of the season -- plus denied the Aggies an appearance in the Southeastern Conference title game.
Wisner brings 1,734 career rushing yards and nine touchdowns into the portal. He'll likely be in high demand by virtue of his past CFP experience plus rising as an RB1. He's also lauded for his versatility -- as Wisner caught 44 passes for 311 yards in that famed 2024 season. He managed to catch 22 passes for 146 yards in his truncated 2025.
The team that lands Wisner only receives one year of eligibility, however. Wisner already has played three seasons in Austin. Still, his SEC background and past with starring alongside two high-profile QBs will garner attention.
Wisner isn't the only high-profile RB to enter on FSU's portal radar. Hollywood Smothers of North Carolina State is expected to visit the Tallahassee campus per Noles247.
Louisiana RB Zylan Perry is another RB target who "expects to visit" as well per 247Sports. The junior racked up 689 yards and scored eight touchdowns this past season for the Ragin' Cajuns. He's delivered back-to-back 600-yard rushing seasons and has scored 14 total rushing TDs.
Florida State will need new offensive weaponry regardless of who represents the backfield. The Seminoles already are losing 2025 starting quarterback Tommy Castellanos after one season. The 'Noles are also losing Gavin Sawchuk, Jaylin Lucas and Kam Davis to the portal.
Meanwhile, dual-threat QB DJ Lagway of Florida is one high-profile incoming visitor for Florida State this weekend.
