Following a dominant 135-yard performance against Alabama, Florida State’s star wideout claims national recognition while the Seminoles prepare for high-stakes matchups on the gridiron and hardwood.
Florida State senior wide receiver Duce Robinson has recently been named the Shriners Children's East-West Bowl Offensive Player of the Week.
Robinson caught six passes for 135 yards and a touchdown in a 50-36 road loss agaisnt No. 10 Alabama on Saturday. He caught a 15-yard pass on the Seminoles’ first offensive play of the game. He later capped the scoring drive with a 20-yard touchdown reception, his first of the season.
Robinson now has over 2,000 career receiving yards and six career games of at least 120 receiving yards, which is ranked second nationally among active wide receivers.
Florida State opened the season with a home win over New Mexico State, but lost to nationally ranked SMU and Alabama. The Seminoles host Central Arkansas Saturday at 3 p.m. on ACC Network.
ACC Matchup Scheduled
The Seminoles’ home matchup against Virginia next week has been scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff time and will be broadcasted either ESPN2 or the ACC Network.
Florida State is 15-5 all-time against Virginia, including a 9-1 home record. The last time the Cavailiers traveled to Tallahassee was 2014, a game in which the Seminoles won 34-20.
Women’s basketball
Tip-off time for the womens basketball game between Florida State and Missouri has been announced to be played at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 on the ACC Network. FSU will host Mizzou for the 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge.
Florida State and Missouri played each other five times in their respective programs’ history, with the Seminoles winning three of them. Their most recent matchup came in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament, where the Seminoles won 77-55 on their way to making an Elite Eight appearance.
Florida State will host Merrimack at 6 p.m. on Nov. 2 to open the 2026-27 season.
Women’s golf
The No. 21 Florida State women’s golf team finished third at the Schooner Fall Classic, led by Louise Landgraf scoring a six-under 64 on Monday.
Florida State carded a one-under 279 in the final round while the field averaged 72.34 strokes. The Seminoles finished at 11-under 829 for the tournament, behind Iowa State, who won the team title at 30-under, and host Oklahoma, who finished second at 13-under.
Haruhi Nakatani closed the tournament with a one-under 69 to finish at seven-under 203 and tie for fourth. Sophia Fullbrook and Alexandra Gazzoli each shot three-over 73 for the Seminoles.
Women’s lacrosse
The Florida State women's lacrosse team announced on Monday their fall slate for the month of October. The eight-game fall ball schedule is highlighted by a matchup with Florida on Oct. 24.
The Seminoles return plenty of players from their inaugural season, including junior Meg Kenny, who led the team with 30 goals, 13 assists and 43 points. FSU added four transfers: Anna Hackett, Claire Marosi, Ryann Frechette and Sofia Herrera.
