One rising recruit claims the Seminoles are all over him and courting him fiercely.

Florida State placed one eye on whoever is left in the transfer portal, and the other on high-profile 2027 recruits.

One four-star representing the latter claims FSU "continues to push hard" to land him.

Memphis talent Lawrence Britt told 247Sports about the heavy interest the 'Noles have for him. He's a dynamic wide receiver/defensive back talent who's the state of Tennessee's fifth-best athlete per 247Sports

The star of Lausanne Collegiate School Britt explained how intrigued FSU is for him.

"Florida State continues to push hard for me as well. Coach [Mike] Norvell shows me a lot of what the program has to offer," Britt said.

Where does Norvell and the staff envision Britt lining up in, though?

"FSU wants me to play both sides," he said.  "They show a lot of love to my family and me. I have built a great relationship with the staff. They have a great track record to send players to the league."

He'd rise as a huge pickup for the '27 class should he commit to the Seminoles. Florida State has successfully landed Tennessee talent before -- a la school legend Jalen Ramsey.

However, one challenger of FSU is lurking...which has a huge game on Monday.

"Miami is a tradition-rich program. Great environment and a great program," Britt said, confirming the interest the Hurricanes have for him. "Coach Kevin Beard has a great track record and develops his receivers very well. Miami pushes for me very hard."

Beard isn't the only intriguing coach for him.

"Miami has a great play caller [offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson] and really knows how to use their playmakers, a prime example being Malachi Toney," Britt said.

So which school has the inside track right now on the versatile Britt? Recruiting insider Tom Loy dropped details there.

"There's something about Miami here. Britt always raves about the Hurricanes, as if he we heavily leaning toward potentially suiting up for Mario Cristobal," Loy said.

He adds Vanderbilt, though, and head coach Clark Lea "have done an excellent job of selling him on staying home." Plus how "The Commodores are making big moves with the top in-state prospects, and that resonates well with Britt."

Does this mean Florida State is already losing ground here?

"I don't think you can count out the Seminoles because Britt truly believes in the vision of head coach Mike Norvell," Loy said.

He concludes that Missouri and head coach Eli Drinkwitz like Britt too and that the "interest is very real."

Britt is 6-foot-1, 172-pounds and holds 25 offers total.
