The Georgia Bulldogs have some questions.
The Georgia Bulldogs are headed into the SEC opener this weekend against the Arkansas Razorbacks on the road in what should be at least a somewhat tougher test than the first two games have presented.
Even though Arkansas looks like it will be at the bottom of the SEC standings in their first year with a new head coach, going on the road in this league is never easy and unquestionably, there are some very talented players on this Razorbacks team.
At the end of the day, it's difficult to make legitimate evaluations against FCS and non-power opponents like the Dawgs faced over the first two games, but now the real evaluations will begin. The group which was the most questioned on the roster headed into the season in the wide receivers has not done much to answer those questions just yet.
Now, whether fans like the answer or not, there will be clarity.
Georgia Likely Will Not Rotate as Many Guys in This Week
In their victory over Western Kentucky, a staggering 12 different players had at least one reception for the Bulldogs while nobody had more than two. On one hand, this showcased the depth among the pass catchers, however it did reinforce the fear that nobody has separated themselves as the go-to group of guys.
While it will likely be a heavy dose of the run game against a team like Arkansas, seeing whether or not anyone can stand out in the wide receiver room could be very telling with the Oklahoma Sooners coming to town the following week.
Guys like Talyn Taylor, Craig Dandridge, Sacovie White-Helton and others have shown promise, but who can step up and prove that they are going to be the one Gunner Stockton can trust to make a big play will be something fans are watching closely for now going up against a team with a semblance of a pulse.
As the games start to get real, we will find out more and more each week about this Georgia team, because while the first couple of games were fun, they are also to be taken with a major grain of salt.
And the wide receiver group is the room folks want to find out more about. Time will tell if Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville is able to answer some of the questions and concerns fans may have here moving forward.
