The Georgia Bulldogs are starting their SEC schedule.
The Georgia Bulldogs are now two games into the season and headed into week three which will be a much more significant challenge than they have faced over the course of the first two weeks.
After hosting Tennessee State and Western Kentucky at Sanford Stadium, the Dawgs not only begin SEC play this week, they do it on the road against a hungry fanbase. While the Arkansas Razorbacks have frankly looked absolutely dreadful over the first two weeks, this can be a funny sport sometimes.
The proper motivation behind a loud crowd can sometimes be enough to change everything, and Arkansas is going to be hungry to get a signature win here early in the Ryan Silverfield era.
As for the Bulldogs, it's a little bit tougher to gauge exactly what this team is going to be given the lack of resistance over the first two games, but a clear identity on both sides of the ball is certainly starting to form.
Georgia Will Have Numerous Contributors on Offense
All offseason long, the narrative about the Bulldogs offense was question marks at pass catcher, and while there may not be the star power as in year's past, it does feel like there's as much depth as this team has had in some time.
12 different players on the offense caught at least one ball against Western Kentucky and no player had more than two receptions individually. While this may not be ideal come the time when competition gets stiffer and Georgia needs guys to step up and be the man, it does showcase the amount of options Kirby Smart has at his disposal.
If one player is not getting it done, Smart has a long bench to go to, so speed and effort and the basic fundamentals should never be any sort of issue.
As for Gunner Stockton, he looks rock solid and in command, but a real test is coming this week where fans can evaluate what kind of step he has taken.
Many may overlook Arkansas this week due to their blowout loss over the weekend against Utah, however the Bulldogs locker room certainly will not be. Their head coach will not allow them to do so.
Fans should be confident headed into Fayetteville, but not cocky, because anyone is capable of beating anyone in this league.
We will learn a whole lot more about this team this coming weekend.
