The Georgia Bulldogs head coach is never satisfied.

The Georgia Bulldogs earned another lopsided victory on Saturday afternoon over the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers by a score of 70-20 in another showdown where the starters were out by the second quarter.

Despite some incredible efficiency being shown by the offense, Kirby Smart is never going to be completely satisfied, and only winning the second half 21-14 as well as being outscored in the fourth quarter gave him plenty of reason to be upset.

Smart is always looking for something to rip into his team over and make sure their performance is at peak level, and fortunately for him -- yet unfortunate for the team -- there was plenty in the second half. In an epic postgame rant, Smart went through some of the things he saw that went wrong and bluntly stated that some of the mistakes players made make them not ready to play in the SEC.

Smart Said Some Players Are Not Ready to Play in SEC

"If you don't get off the field on third down six consecutive times, you're not ready to play on this defense," Smart said when asked about things he can take away coming out of the game. "If you can't possess the ball on offense then you can't play...if your front five offensive linemen can't move Western Kentucky's defensive line, you're gonna really struggle on the road when you play in the SEC.

"So there's guys that want playing time and think they're worthy of playing time that just proved to me they don't deserve it."

Asked if he was surprised at certain players showing him they are not ready to play, Smart said that this is the kind of thing he deals with every year at a place like Georgia where virtually every player enters with some sort of status out of high school.

Not everyone is going to be ready to play just because they were a highly-touted recruit, and this is a lesson Smart has to teach the young players on his team each and every year.

Games like this and ultimately performance struggles make players better on the other side though, and nobody has a better history of developing talent than Smart and this coaching staff.

For those he is specifically talking to, perhaps this can just be a bump in the road of a very successful Georgia career. The best are never satisfied though, and Smart certainly is one of the very best.
