Using some analytics and taking a closer look at the entire game, here are some things that stood out in Indiana's win over Rutgers.

When you look at the final score in Indiana's win over Rutgers, it's pretty lopsided. The Hoosiers seem to be firing on all cylinders and that really showed in Piscataway. The Hoosier defense was lights out for almost the entire four quarters, but a broken play and some garbage time resulted in the Scarlet Knights scoring 15 points. Still, a 47-15 final in favor of IU has Curt Cignetti pretty pleased as we move into the month of October.

Using a tool like Pro Football Focus allows us to see what happened on a player-by-player basis and gives some insight as to how the game really went. It's not gospel, but there are some things that just don't show up in the box score that can tell another part of the story.
