IowaStateRoundtable Publisher Brad Schultz shares his betting prediction for the Iowa State-Oklahoma State game, including spread and total.

Iowa State fans with young children are in quite the predicament on Saturday.

The Cyclones will host No. 24 Oklahoma State for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Jack Trice Stadium. That's normally not a big deal, but considering the contest falls on Halloween night, it brings up a very important question - go to the Iowa State game or stay home and trick or treat with the kids?

Who knows how many people will "pack the Jack" on Saturday after the Cyclones were dismantled in Arizona last weekend, but one thing is for certain: Iowa State has a monumental challenge. Oklahoma State's offense is by far the best in the Big 12 and maybe even the entire nation, so the Cyclone defense will be on full alert.

Speaking of points, what does the point spread say about this football game? Some of you may not care about that, but Las Vegas does have a good history of being right with its point spreads.

The Lines

Spread: Oklahoma State -9.5

Total: 57.5

Iowa State fans may be disappointed to see their team pegged as a 9.5-point underdog at home, but that's just the reality at this point. Vegas clearly doesn't have much faith in the Cyclones keeping this one close, but as they always say, anything can happen on any given Saturday. The total is right where you would expect because Oklahoma State can score points very quickly.

The Picks

Spread: Oklahoma State -9.5

Jimmy Rogers' team deserves a lot of credit for always playing hard, but this is just a horrible matchup for Iowa State. The offense has been nonexistent in conference play, but Oklahoma State is the team that lights up the scoreboard. The Cyclones will have to hope the chilly Iowa weather can slow the Cowboys down, but ultimately I see Oklahoma State moving the football very easily against this banged-up defense. Iowa State might score a few cosmetic touchdowns at the end, but picking the Cowboys to win by at least 10 is a very safe play.

Over 57.5

This may come as a surprise to some people, but Oklahoma State's defense isn't very good. The Cowboys have yielded 27.8 points per game in conference play, including 165.8 yards on the ground. That means Aiden Flora has a chance to get some yards here, and if that happens, Iowa State should be able to put together some scoring drives to push this total over.

Final Score Prediction: Oklahoma State 45, Iowa State 17
