Former Iowa State Cyclones continued to make an impact in Week 6, with Jaylin Noel posting a career-high 107 receiving yards in Houston's win over Jacksonville.

Former Iowa State football players made their presence felt in Week 6 of the NFL season, but Jaylin Noel has stood out with his best receiving performance as a professional.

The Houston Texans are beginning to rise from the dead after receiving last rites when they fell to 0-4, but Houston is suddenly just two games back in the AFC South after a dramatic win over rival Jacksonville.

Missed the NFL slate because you were hung over from the electric Saturday college football schedule? Here are some of the top storylines of former Cyclones in the pros, including more details on Noel's standout performance.

Jaylin Noel delivers his best performance yet

Noel was one of the biggest standouts among former Cyclones this weekend. In Houston's 34-31 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, the wideout had four receptions for 107 yards and one touchdown.

His touchdown came on a 13-yard reception in the third quarter, providing a highlight in a tightly contested game. Noel also contributed on special teams, returning a punt for two yards and a kickoff for 65 yards.

This production has demonstrated his talent to make an impact when he has the opportunity to do so, while developing for a Houston offense that continues to evaluate its receiving options.

Xavier Hutchinson Adds to Houston's offensive production

Noel was not the only former Iowa State receiver who could stand out in Houston's win. Xavier Hutchinson finished with two receptions for 10 yards against Jacksonville.

While Hutchison did not match Noel's production, his presence gave the Texans another former Cyclone in the receiving rotation. Houston's passing attack generated significant yardage in the victory, helping the team to escape with a three-point win.

The performance by Noel and Hutchison's gave fans another example of Iowa State's continued representation in the NFL under former head coach Matt Campbell.

Brock Purdy leads San Francisco to another win

Quarterback Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers continued their strong run by defeating the Washington Commanders 23-17 on Monday night.

Purdy completed 21 of 29 passes for 264 yards and one touchdown, connecting with his favorite target, George Kittle, for a score. His efficient performance helped San Francisco close out the victory and improve to a perfect 6-0 on the year. The Niners are one of only three undefeated teams in the league (Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs).

Purdy also reached a notable milestone during the game, becoming the NFL's all-time leader in passer rating at 105.7.

For Iowa State fans, Purdy's continued success remains one of the most prominent examples of a former Cyclone thriving at the highest level.

Kene Nwangwu contributes on special teams

New York Jets return specialist Kene Nwangwu also made an impact in Week 6 in a 26-19 loss to the New England Patriots. Nwangwu returned six kickoffs for 128 yards.
