Kansas State Football Offers 2028 Class Three-Star Tight End

With less than a month until Kansas State football returns, the program is still game planning for the future.

It offered another 2028 class player on Monday morning. It was another tight end prospect, this time three-star Brady Reeves. He currently attends Hill-Murray High School in Maplewood, MN. Reeves also received offers from Vanderbilt, Iowa State, and Miami (OH). He's ranked right outside the top 20 at his position on 247Sports. Last season, Reeves had 25 receptions for 327 yards and nine touchdowns.

"After a great conversation last night with Coach Lepak, I am really excited to receive an offer from Kansas State University," Reeves tweeted.

It's going to be a while for the Wildcats to reevaluate their tight end rotation, but it currently looks like Garrett Oakley and Linkon Cure will be heavily utilized in the game plan. Oakley is expected to build on his career season with quarterback Avery Johnson working with a brand-new receiving core. Cure, the five-star recruit, will likely get more looks than he did in 2025, when he only had six receptions.

Wildcats coach Collin Klein probably wants to use more two-tight-end sets to better suit Johnson's play style. The veteran signal-caller thrives on play action, and having dual tight ends can give Johnson more short-pass weapons or allow the running game to open up with Oakley and Cure as blockers/bigger bodies.

Here are the other recent offers the program has made:

The program offered tight end Sloan Blackwell on Tuesday night. He currently attends Waco Midway High School in Waco, TX. Blackwell isn't ranked yet, but will likely be a three-star. He received his offer after a conversation with tight ends coach Brian Lepak. Blackwell also received offers from Arizona, Syracuse, and Arizona State. Last season, he had 18 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns, per MaxPreps.

The latest offensive lineman to be offered in the class was Jerry Richmond. He currently attends East St. Louis High School in East St. Louis, IL. Richmond has also received offers from Florida Atlantic, North Carolina, and South Dakota.

Kansas State offered offensive tackle Asher Megonnell on Friday. He currently attends Ankeny Centennial High School in Ankeny, IA. He also received an offer from Big 12 rival Iowa State. Megonnell is currently unranked.

AJ Criss, who currently attends Krum High School in Krum, TX, is a 6-foot-7, 205-pound tight end. Last season, he had 34 receptions for 574 yards and eight touchdowns. Criss also received offers from Florida State and Texas Tech. He's currently unranked but will likely be a three-star prospect.
