These were the highest-graded players from the LSU Tigers' win over the Auburn Tigers on Saturday.
The LSU Tigers had a dominant performance against the Auburn Tigers on both sides of the ball, meaning there weren't very many weak links.
There was a ton of green on the report cards for LSU's players this week. Pro Football Focus released its final grades for the matchup, and there were a couple of standouts. Here were the three grades above 80 on the day for Lane Kiffin's Tigers:
WR Jackson Harris - 90.2
Harris has become the top receiver on this team. He had a ton of potential heading into this season after a big year for Hawai'i before coming to Baton Rouge. It was a slower start to the year, but he has taken off since a breakout against the Texas A&M Aggies.
In this game, he has nine catches for 178 yards and two touchdowns. It was the second straight multi-score game for him and his third of the year. He is up to 36 catches for 634 yards and seven scores this season.
Wide receiver is an absolutely stacked position across college football right now, so he may not be in Bednarik conversations. He does have the potential to be a second- or third-team All-American if this trend continues and LSU keeps winning games, however.
CB DJ Pickett - 84.6
There was a lot of talk about Pickett coming into this season after all of the controversy over his jersey number and he also had a slower start to this year, but he has been on a heater as of late.
Pickett was targeted five times on Saturday, and allowed just one catch for one yard. It was his third-straight game with a pass breakup, his first three of three of the season. His confidence is building at the right time for this defense. Blake Baker will need him to be aggressive and making plays on the ball if they want to win out.
QB Sam Leavitt - 84.0
Leavitt has now gone two straight games without an official turnover. He did have a fumble out of bounds last week, and an interception that got called back in this game, but the point is that he is taking better care of the ball. He looks far better than he has since his breakout season a few years ago. It has been said a couple of times already, but this offense is great when he has his legs and arm working in tandem with each other rather than in competition.
The passer went 32-of-45 through the air for 387 yards and three touchdowns, with eight rushes for 54 yards and a score on the ground.
