Four-star small forward Gabe Nesmith announced that he received an offer from the Tigers on May 30. Nesmith holds 14 offers, mainly from high-major programs, and this is the first offer he has received since February.

Nesmith, who plays for Overtime Elite, is ranked the No. 14 player in the class of 2027 by 247Sports and No. 18 in the 247Sports Composite rankings, which aggregates the rankings from various recruiting sites. Nesmith played for Montverde and Prolific Prep before signing with Overtime Elite.

Nesmith is the 11th player Memphis has offered in the class of 2027, and he’s the fourth top 20 player that Penny Hardaway has offered in this class. Outside of Nesmith, the Tigers have offered four-star Jaylan Mitchell, who also plays with Overtime Elite.

Alongside the top 20 prospects, Memphis has offered a few local products like Justin Frison and Dylan Jones. Frison is a three-star recruit at Houston High School, and Jones is a four-star at Bartlett High School.
