Memphis secures commitment from Charlotte catcher Aaron Orozco

4Memphis baseball picked up its first commitment out of the transfer portal with the addition of catcher Aaron Orozco. The catcher spent his freshman season at Charlotte and appeared in 21 games.

Orozco made nine starts, including several conference games, and he posted a .216 batting average with a home run and eight RBI. The catcher finished the season with a .333 on-base percentage, and he walked five times.

Orozco will have three years of eligibility remaining.
